Pretty Pumpkin DIY Project

Easy, Inexpensive and Gorgeous

I am not a huge fan of fall colours but I do love decorating for the season and for the holidays. I also really believe that adding natural, seasonal elements as décor is a great, inexpensive way to freshen the look of a space. I just want it all to be pretty.

Orange and black don’t work with the colours in my home, so I took traditional fall items {pumpkins} and with a little time and paint, transformed them to suit my style.

Ta da!

It is really so easy to do! I discovered the new Martha Stewart multi-surface acrylic craft paint at Michaels last week. The colours are gorgeous and the paint comes in a few finishes, including metallic, which I could not resist. I used sterling and gold for this project.

You will need at least three layers of paint but the effort is so worth it! I think they would look beautiful lined up on a mantel, as a centrepiece or even outside.

How do you decorate your home for the fall? I’d love to hear your tips!
