Keep 'Em Smiling: Kid-Friendly Holiday Party Decor

Create An Interactive Holiday Space

I love the idea of creating a cute and fun table for children at family holiday dinners. There are a few things to keep in mind when designing a table for kids. I recently shared my tips for creating fun and interactive table décor on Cityline.

I think choosing a theme is a great starting point. I went with a Frosty the Snowman theme because it appeals to children of all ages.

Saving Frosty: Keep Your Snowman Alive FOREVER!

I made a ton of the décor myself and you can too! Each project is easy and inexpensive and I love that they add that personal touch that kids will love.

I made the felt table runner to represent Frosty’s scarf:

These holiday themed photo booth props are sure to keep the kids entertained. They are so easy to make: scrapbook paper, skewers, tape and a little imagination are all you need.

And they make for super cute pics, don't you think?!

I also made these fun snow globes. {stay tuned for more info on these!}

The snowman art was really easy to make but not so easy to vlog about.

Finally, I made these cone shaped snowmen as place cards.

If you are hosting a dinner party this holiday season I hope you are inspired to create a fun, interactive dining space just for kids. After all, if they are having fun, you can have some grown up fun of your own!

If you are in love with the furniture like I am, it is all from my favourite destination for everything kids, Pottery Barn Kids. Thank you so much to PBK for letting me use the Carolina table and chair set, Filmore Dresser {which I now *need*}, Avery rug, Hearth Plush Decor and adorable chair backers!!

Happy holidays!
