I recently styled a project and wanted some pretty napkins to accent the table setting. I soon discovered that patterned fabric napkins are hard find, so I thought I would try making my own.
I picked up these plain white napkins from Gluckstein Home:
Open the napkin and lay it on a flat surface. You may want to tape it in place to keep it smooth. Note the section that will be on top when the napkin is folded, then place the stencil so that the *best* part of the stencil covers that area. Use a high-density foam roller with a small amount of paint and roll over the stencil.
Remove the stencil and let it dry.
Voila! Pretty patterned napkins. This colour combination is perfect for spring, don't you think?
