Last-Minute Apple Crumble Recipe

Always a Favourite

Last-Minute Apple Crumble Recipe

When I am last minute for a dessert, I always make apple crumble, always a comforting treat. Apples are a one of the fruits we always have in the fridge, especially in the Fall, and it takes less than 10 minutes to make fresh apple sauce. I just throw the peeled apples in a small pot with a pinch of cinnamon, over 1 inch of water, and let it boil until soft and smooth. In the meantime, I put together the crumble with the following ingredients:

Ingredients:
2 cup of rolled oat
¼ cup of flour
¾ cup (or less) of brown sugar
¼ cup of butter at room temperature

 Preheat the oven at 400F.

Mix the dry ingredients and incorporate the butter to create a nice crumble.

In a buttered ovenproof dish, spread the apple puree, about 2 cups (4 apples).

Cover with your crumble and cook for about 20 minutes.

Serve with vanilla ice cream of melted dark chocolate. Mmmmm!

Make the most of apple season and drive to the nearest orchard to pick your own apples. So much fun!
