DIY Mister Pizza Recipe

Let your kids make their own dinner

DIY Mister Pizza Recipe

Here is a fun way to involve your children while making dinner.

For 2 pizzas:

2 multigrain tortillas

½ cup of tomato sauce

12 slices of pepperoni or chorizo

1 stem of fresh oregano

1 cup of grated mozzarella & cheddar

 Heat the oven at 450F

Put all the ingredients in separate dishes in the center of the table

Allow each kid to prepare his/her own pizza

You can also add all kinds of vegetables, like mushrooms for the nose, peppers for the mouth, olive slices for the eyes, etc…

Place on a cookie pan and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, until cheese has melted and finish at broil for a nice golden top.

Note: Fresh oregano has a calming effect and it works wonders on agitated children who can bite on the leaves while making the pizza.

Top Places To Eat In Bal Harbour, Florida

It may sound cliché, but you might think you’ve died and gone to heaven, when you take a bite out of the black truffle pizza from the lunch menuinspired by renowned chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichtenat the state-of-the-art restaurant J&G Grill, in the new St. Regis Hotel. OMG! This being said, you also have to try the avocado (with jalapenos, coriander, and lime) pizza.

Unusual and sooooo amazing! In fact, on this new menu, Jean-Georges included the favourites from all his restaurants, and some new dishes, like this incredible hearts of palm salad.

I also loved the lobster salad, and, if I could, I would have eaten the entire dessert menu, created by Antonio Bachournamed as 'Top 10 Pastry Chefs in America,' in 2011. You absolutely have to try the Salted Caramel Ice Cream Sundae, with peanuts, popcorn, and chocolate sauce. Just divine!

This being saidand I am sure that you are salivating as much as I am right nowit doesn't take anything away form the great landmark restaurants in Bal Harbour Shops. You also HAVE to go to Carpaccio and the new Makoto, featuring Asian cuisine with a twist. One of my favourite chefs, Toronto’s great Susur Lee, was actually having dinner there with his family on the night that I visited, and he praised the talents of Chef Makoto Okuwa. I totally agree with his taste, once more!
