Spagn’Sausage Recipe

When My Daughter Gets Cookin’

Spagn’Sausage Recipe

I was quite impressed when my daughter made this dish at home, impress because it was not just original but really good. Such a perfect long weekend pasta dish to make with the kids. Easy and fun!

To make this great recipe, you will only need 2 ingredients:

400g of spaghetti

6 sausages

Cut the sausages in 3 parts and stick the spaghetti through.

Cook in salted boiling water for about 10 minutes or the time indicated on the pasta package.

Serve with a sauce of your choice or simply a dash of olive oil and some green vegetables.

Enjoy!!!

Maple Dijon Chicken Recipe

Quick and Easy with the New Campbell’s Stock First Cream stock

Maple Dijon Chicken Recipe

The other night, I came home from work really close to dinnertime which meant it was perfect opportunity to try a new recipe from Cook With Campbell’s. Since we all wanted something a little sweet and very comforting, I decided on the Maple Dijon Chicken, made with Campbell’s Stock First Cream stock. Everyone loved it! Especially me, since I was able to prepare this gourmet meal in less than 15 minutes.

The beauty of this recipe is that you only need five ingredients, along with the Campbell’s stock. Five ingredients that most of us already have in the fridge, such as maple syrup, white wine, Dijon mustard, and fresh herbs. (That you can always substitute with dry herbs)

What I also love about it is if you decide to serve it with rice, like I did, you can prepare your chicken while the rice is cooking and both will be ready at the same time. Perfect timing!

Begin with preparing your ingredients:

4 (1 lb/450 g) chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
1 tsp (5 mL) fresh rosemary
1 tbsp (15 mL) grainy Dijon mustard
1 1⁄2 oz (45 mL) white wine
1 cup (240 mL) Campbell’s Stock First™ Cream stock
1 tbsp (15 mL) pure maple syrup

Place chicken in a non-stick pan on medium high heat. Do not touch or move for 4 minutes. Then turn chicken over and cook for an additional 3 minutes.  I like to add my rosemary right at first with the chicken, it brings great flavor to the meat.

Whisk mustard, maple syrup and wine together, add the mixture to the hot pan and simmer gently for 2-3 minutes.

Next add cream stock, cover and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Transfer the chicken to a serving plate and spoon the sauce over top.

What I like about the new Campbell’s Stock First Cream stock is that it gives such a nice texture to the sauce, really smooth and creamy, without feeling too rich. I served my Maple Dijon Chicken with a mushroom-basmati rice and green beans, but you can also present it with potatoes and any serving of vegetables you have in the fridge.

Recipe Tips:

Campbell’s Stock First Cream stock is really versatile, so if you don't have chicken, you can use it with fish, veal, pasta or even add some to your rice to make it more a creamy, risotto style. Check out more great recipes using Campbell's stock.

You can always substitute dry herbs for fresh – just use 1 tsp of dry in place of 1 tbsp of fresh. Try this dish with any variety of herbs–sage, thyme, or even oregano would work well with this recipe.

Most of all, enjoy! This quick and easy recipe will give you enough time to breath, spend quality time with your family and even feel like a goddess in the kitchen, as you will see it is such a family pleaser! You might even want to repeat the experience with guest.
