3 Step Super Easy Butter Chicken

Delicious & Easy in only 3 steps

Here is an everyday meal that your entire family will love. Plus, you can freeze any left over and reheat it whenever you need a quick meal on the run.

BUTTER CHICKEN

 

Ingredients

3 tbsp of butter
1 small onion finely chopped
1 tsp of chopped garlic
1 tsp of chopped ginger
1/4 tsp of each: cinnamon, garam masala and turmeric
1/2 lime, juiced
1.5 pound of chicken breast, cubed
1 tomato, diced
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
1 tbsp of maple syrup
1/2 cup of Greek yogurt 
1/4 cup of cooking cream
 

  STEP ONE

Sprinkle the raw chicken with the lime juice. Melt the butter in a pan with the spices. Mix in the onion, garlic, ginger and cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add the chicken and let it brown on each side for 2 more minutes. (note: I added a red chili pepper because we like it in my family but it is totally optionnal)

  STEP TWO  

Mix in the tomatoes, the tomato paste and the maple syrup and let it cook on medium-low heat for about 20 minutes, or until the chicken is well-done. 

 STEP THREE

Mix the cream and the yogurt together, incorporate to the chicken and simmer for about 2 minutes.

Serve over basmati rice and top with slivers of almond and fresh coriander leaves.
