Math Help at Hand

Virtual Tutors

I must admit I'm not looking forward to reliving my math nightmares vicariously via my son's homework. It was gruelling enough the first time around, thanks.

But if, like me, numbers aren't your forte, take comfort.  Help is at hand (if you happen to live in Ontario). FREE online tutoring by certified Ontario math teachers is available every Sunday to Thursday from 5:30pm – 9:30pm ET.

Alternatively, students can search a database of over 250 videos and pre-recorded tutorials to watch any time. In one week alone, the virtual tutors helped answer over 6,000 questions from students in grades 7 through 10.  Those are numbers even I can compute!

The virtual tutors were the brainwave of the Ministry of Education. Heck, Premier Dalton McGuinty even took the time to blog about it.

There's no need to break out in hives at the sight of your son or daughter's algebra homework.  Cue: bookmark now.  All you need to do is register for FREE as a guest user to access Homework Help.
