Weight Loss Challenge: Fail

Making Excuses

Remember that weight loss challenge I was doing? Yeah, me neither.

I was so dedicated those first couple weeks.Cutting down on sugar, eating healthier, I even gave up my after-the-kids-go-to-bed snack. Heck, I was even going to the gym regularly.

So, what happened?

Well, after 2 weeks, I had lost only 2 pounds... disappointing to say the least. I decided to take a friend up on an offer to go to the gym with him, but that meant going at a different time, and I did go... a few times.

That time slot didn’t work well with my schedule though, and I started making excuses not to go instead of just going back to my old schedule.

After a couple weeks, I fell back into my old routine, bed time snack and all, and that’s where I am now.

I haven’t gained any weight, but I haven’t lost any either. Safe to say Tom won this challenge! I think, at one point, he was down 12 pounds (bastard), but he has joined me in the snacking department again too.

So, I guess it’s back to the drawing board.

Any suggestions?
