I'm going to be 100% honest with you and admit that by day four or five of camping, I may just let my kids have these Campfire Banana Boats for breakfast.

Banana = fruit and fruit totally = breakfast food.

Right???

So now that we've established Campfire Banana Boats can be served for breakfast, a snack or dessert after dinner when you get tired of s'mores (if that's even possible!), let me share with you how easy they are to make...

Simply slice banana.

Ingredients (for one banana boat)

Banana
Toppings like mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, two-bite brownie cut into pieces, peanuts, smarties, etc...

Directions

Slice open your banana leaving the skin on and carefully cut a small thin strip lengthwise out of the top (to fit your toppings in).

Carefully peel open the top and let the kids stuff in their favourite toppings like mini marshmallows, chocolate chips and cut up brownie pieces.

Wrap in foil and place on campfire grate and heat for approx 8-10 minutes (over low flames), turning at the halfway point. You can also place on grill set to low heat.

Carefully unwrap, peel banana, discard foil and peel, serve and enjoy!
