March Break is right around the corner and for many of us the kids are home and looking for something to do. For our family, all the after school activities are on hiatus too, so that means our evenings are a bit more relaxed and perfect for getting the kids into the kitchen.
If you’re looking for a couple of easy kid-friendly recipes they can really "help" make, here’s a list of the recipes my kids and I will be cooking this March Break.
I promise, the hardest part is opening up the salsa jar.
You can even prep this one in the morning, head out for some March Break fun then pop in the oven when you get home.
Perfect for a quick lunch.
Fancy enough to invite another family over for dinner but easy enough for your kids to say they cooked it themselves.
Make some for dinner and some for the freezer for another day.
For the days you're spending outside and need something warm and comforting when you come home.
If you're dreaming of warm sunny weather, but opted to spend March Break at home in the cold, this dinner is for you.
An entire dinner cooked in a little bundle means less clean-up!
Because breakfast for dinner is perfect over March Break.
Of course, what's a made-by-kids-meal without a made-by-kids-dessert too? Here are some of my favourite desserts to make with the kids.
Yes it is possible to make dessert in the slow cooker.
By far one of my kids' favourite desserts.
So easy, it's hard to even call this baking.
Two of my favourite desserts combined into one then baked in the oven.
It's like a craft and baking all in one!
It's chocolate and it's pie... nothing more needs to be said except YUM!
Happy March Break everyone! Hope you have lots of fun cooking with your kids.
