This is one of those recipes I came across on Pinterest that involved more than twenty ingredients and just as many steps not to mention at least as many dirty dishes. Like any other recipe that involves that much work I usually just move on, but the combination of chocolate chip cookie dough, Oreos, and fudge brownies was just too tempting to ignore. So of course I came up with a much easier Canned Soup Mom approved version using store bought mixes.
Simply pour cookie dough mix into bottom of pan.
Put Oreo cookies on top.
Top with brownie batter.
Bake and serve warm with ice cream!
1 pkg. chocolate chip cookie dough, prepared according to package directions
20 Oreo cookies
1 pkg. brownie mix, prepared according to package directions
Line 9 x 13 pan with parchment paper.
Pour prepared cookie dough onto bottom of lined pan and spread evenly.
Arrange Oreo cookies on top of cookie dough (pictured above).
Pour prepared brownie batter on top of Oreo cookies and spread evenly.
Bake in pre-heated 350F oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
Note: Pictured above is a "snack-sized" package of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough because this was all that was available at my grocery store. I used two packages of this size of mix and suggest using the regular-sized box if you can find it.
