Old Navy Outerwear Giveaway

Stay Warm And Stylish This Winter

Old Navy Outerwear Giveaway

Now that it's November, there is no denying it. Summer is indeed behind us, and winter is here. Although I'm not one to fully embrace winter and the cold that comes with it, I do have a thing for winter clothes... from the boots to the tights to the sweaters, and, of course, the coats.

The best part of winter for me, besides Christmas shopping, are the jackets and coats we get to wear to stay warm. Staying warm—while looking stylish is totally important to me.

Here in Canada, one can never have too many coats for the winter months. We need long coats to cover our legs, we need cute little puffer jackets for fun afternoons outdoors with the children, and we need coats that are suitable to wear to work, or out on a Saturday night.

Ladies, let me tell you something: here in the great white north, there is no such thing as "too many coats". If we have to deal with minus 30 degree temperatures, we have to dress accordingly!

We can't be expected to wear the same coat every day can we? Of course not!

You need more than one coat to get through these long winter months. And you know what? You don't have to spend a ton on coats.

Old Navy, currently my favourite store to shop for myself and for my children, has a huge selection of amazing winter coats: from military inspired looks to glam lady-like styles, and even coats with faux fur touches, there is seriously a coat in store for you. Or, you know, three. I have fallen in love with Old Navy's outerwear collection this year!

Old Navy is so awesome, they even gave me one of the new puffer coats that I was totally coveting (the one shown above!)

And guess what? You also have a chance to win an amazing coat from Old Navy's outerwear collection, too!

All you have to do to win is leave me a comment below telling me why you love shopping at Old Navy, and you'll be entered to win a fabulous new coat to keep you happy, warm, and stylish through winter. How fabulous is that?

I'll pick a winner randomly on November 18th!

Good Luck!

Tommee Tippee: Simply Intuitive Baby Products

New Products Designed To Offer Peace Of Mind

Tommee Tippee: Simply Intuitive Baby Products

Last week, I was invited to attend the Tommee Tippee launch in New York City. I left with a serious case of baby fever, and was reminded of how much I just love NYC!

Tommee Tippee, in case you don't know, is the number one brand of infant and toddler products in Great Britain, and is now in stores across North America, soon to be a number-one hit with moms here too, no doubt. My best friend has already stocked up on everything Tommee Tippee for her youngest baby!

Since 1965, Tommee Tippee has earned a reputation for its clever ideas, product quality and simply intuitive designs that promote natural development at every age, stage and feeding need.

Tommee Tippee provides comfort for babies and peace of mind for parents. From baby bottles to soothers and sippy cups that don't spill (it's true—I put the cups to the test during the event!) if I were to have another baby, Tommee Tippee would be the number one name on my 'must-have' list of baby products.

One of their newest products that's getting a lot of buzz? The Closer to Nature Digital Video and DECT Digital Audio Sensor Pad Baby Monitor. The Closer to Nature monitor features a sensi-sleep pad that is placed under the crib mattress to detect even the slightest newborn movement, alerting parents if baby hasn't moved in 20 seconds. These monitors are amazing—and most definitely offer peace of mind to parents! During the demonstration of the monitor, we were able to get a real feel for how easy this product would work at home. The video quality is great, too, and there is no static noise like some of the other baby monitors I've used in the past. There is also a great talk-back feature, so you can soothe your baby with your voice without even needing to be in the room.

The Closer to Nature Digital Video monitor is equipped with technology that constantly changes the monitor's channel to ensure your privacy and prevent interference. (So there is no chance you'll see someone else's baby on YOUR baby monitor!) Both the video and audio monitors have a range of up to 1,000 feet and an out-of-range signal indicator, which allows you to keep close to your baby, even from afar. The easy to read LCD displays and baby room temperature displays are also great additions to these monitors.

Besides the new baby monitors, I got the chance to see, test and touch the products for infants and toddlers, including the Explora Easi-Mat. This is like a cute place mat that grips both the table surface and the bottom of your child's plate or bowl to reduce spills at meal time. Unlike other plates that 'grip' surfaces like the high chair or table, the Explora Easi-Mat worked. I tugged and pulled and tried to spill the bowl, but it wouldn't budge. I love products that work like they're supposed to—and this was no exception. I especially loved the bright colour selection of the products—pink, orange, blue and green. Who says baby can't be stylin' at meal time?

The Tommee Tippee sippy and straw cups are awesome for children of all ages—the straw cup could easily be used for children who are in grade school too, because the bottle itself doesn't look like it's something for babies. Bonus? These bottles are truly spill-proof and leak-proof!

Another product that really impressed me was the Closer to Nature baby bottle. It is the perfect bottle to transition from breast to bottle, because of its soft and super-wide nipple. Of course, all the baby bottle and nipples are BPA and phthalate free—one less thing to worry about.

An exciting part of the event was being introduced to The Day Baby Was Born, which is a digital storybook that you create while you're pregnant for your baby's birth day. The Day Baby Was Born is a free, easy-to-use service that Tommee Tippee provides expecting parents. The site automatically gathers information about the day baby is born, like news headlines, popular songs, and more, things I wish I had planned on including in my baby books.

Basically, you create an online storybook and share it with friends and family through Facebook. You also have the choice to keep it private, and share only what you want to share with others. From pregnancy announcements to a pregnancy journal, you can store all the information you want!

My favourite part of the storybook is that you can see news and facts about the day your baby was born, from a list of top ten news items, entertainment and lifestyle headlines, to the top book of the day. Of course, you also have a place to share your personal story about your baby's birth, and write a letter to your baby. Isn't that the sweetest thing?

No baby book is complete without a place to upload photos, and of course, you can do this here as well. If I were to have another baby, I'd be so excited to complete this online storybook!

The Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature monitors and all the Tommee Tippee infant and toddler products are available at Toys R Us and Babies R Us throughout North America.  For more information, please visit the Tommee Tippee Facebook page page!
