The very first time I met Erica Ehm I made it very clear to her that I wanted to be on TV. I've always been a bit of an attention seeker—I have strong opinions and I never really shied away from sharing them, and I've never met a camera I didn't like. I'm not very shy after all. And even knowing all of that Erica took a chance on me and let me start writing this blog even though I was loud, had strong opinions, and had never written anything before.
So today Snooki finally confirmed what had been rumoured for many weeks—that she was indeed pregnant with her first child. And even though the rumours have been pretty rampant it’s still had to believe that the hard-partying reality star is actually knocked up. But the big question now is will she be able to re-market herself
I’ve had this post sitting in my head for a long time now—since the night of The Grammy Awards when Chris Brown performed twice at the very show he had to miss just 3 short years earlier because of the fact that he beat the shit out of his girlfriend. Since Rihanna released two new tracks this week that she collaborated with her attacker on. I have tried to reconcile what it was that bothered me the most about his performance and his subsequent duet with Rihanna —and while the fact that he used Rihanna as a punching bag makes me sick to my stomach, the fac
Alright, let’s get this out there, I did not love the Madonna Half Time Show at the Superbowl. I didn’t hate it, but I definitely didn’t love it. And I wanted to love it, because it’s Madonna after all, and if Madonna can’t give us the best damn half time show in all of Superbowls then I’m not sure who can.
It’s that time of year again—that time when everywhere you look you are surrounded by a sea of red hearts. Chocolates come shaped as hearts, candy comes shaped as hearts, lingerie is sold that is decorated in hearts, and flower shops start to advertise their many rose specials ensuring that there’s not a man around who can actually forget that February 14th is quickly approaching.
I realize that some of you are die-hard American Idol fans; you watch religiously and follow the show from the audition process right up until the new winner is crowned. I am not one of those fans. I happened to catch someone’s tweets the other day the 11th season of American Idol was starting so I decided to tune in to watch some of the auditions and mostly so I wouldn’t be left out of the conversation. I wasted my time.
If this year’s Golden Globes has taught me anything it’s that everything is better with twitter. As I sat down to watch the 69th annual Golden Globes I was certain that it would be much better than the last major awards show that I watched – the Academy Awards—hereby known as the worst awards show ever. And it was better, marginally.
You might not know his name now, but chances are if you have a child between the ages of 6 and 14 you know his face. Dylan Everett has been a presence on Canadian television for years, and is currently going into his 3rd season as the star of Family Channel’s hit show Wingin’ It, but it’s his role in the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, Frenemies
Here we are, at the end of another great year and counting down the best and worst of what 2011 had to offer us. Of course, when it comes to celebrity news 2011 gave us many gifts, good and bad. I will be wrapping up this year with a variety of my Top 10 lists just like I did last year, and to kick things off I will start with my Top 10 biggest breakups in entertainment news. Here’s my listing of 2011’s biggest breakups—let me know if you agree or if I’ve missed anyone.
I have to admit now that my daughter is 9 there’s more Wizards of Waverly Place than there are Belle’s and Snow White’s in my house, but that doesn’t mean I’m any less excited to see Disney’s Beauty and the Beast when it’s re-released in theatres this January in Disney Digital 3D!
And not only am I excited to go see it, but I am lucky enough to have a family pass for 4 for 1 lucky winner in Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Toronto, Waterloo, Winnipeg and Vancouver to see it on Saturday, January 7th! How awesome is that!
Christmas is just around the corner and that means that holiday movies are on full time at my house. This year I have been introduced to a new holiday movie called Christmas at Castlebury Hall.
Fortunately I also have a copy to give away to three lucky readers.
As publicly as she announced her 20th pregnancy, Michelle Duggar was recently forced to announce that she has tragically miscarried what was to be her 20th baby. In speaking to People Magazine, Michelle said that at a routine 20-week check up she was informed by her doctor that they could not find a heartbeat. For any woman this would be devastating news, yet for some reason much of the public feels like they can take this opportunity to basically tell Michelle that she needs to take this as a sign to stop having babies instead of understanding that even though this was her 20th baby, a l
OK so here’s a shocker, after 72 days of marriage Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from her husband Kris Humphries. Because apparently a 10 million dollar wedding can’t buy you happiness after all, or at least it can’t buy you the kind of fame and fortune that you thought it would.
Halloween is just a few days away but this is the weekend that will be filled with all the parties. If you’re still struggling with what to dress up as and are tired of the usual ‘witch’ and ‘devil’ look maybe these celebs can give you a bit of inspiration.
Well the countdown is on to Halloween and so is the pressure to get the perfect costume for your little one! This year I will have one skeleton, two vampires and one pirate girl to get ready. The second year of Blissdom Canada is over and a great time (I think) was had by all. I was very eager to attend this year’s conference given the amazing time I had last year, and while the conference started off slow for me, it definitely ended with a bang. I learned a few things about myself and what I wanted to do throughout the course of the past few days at Blissdom Canada, and here they are in no particular order:
Let’s get this out of the way right now – I have a thing for Jordan Knight. In the purely ‘he’s so dreamy and I feel like I’m 16 when I see him, but I’m not crazy I swear’ sort of way. I have been lucky enough to interview Jordan on the phone and meet him in person at his concert in Ottawa. I have to tell you that both times he was incredibly kind genuine and obviously cares about his fans.
