Tangled Is My New Favourite Disney Movie

And Why It Should Be Yours Too

It has been a long time since I have seen a new animated Disney movie that I felt comfortable saying would become an instant classic. But last weekend I was lucky enough to preview the latest offering from Disney and I think I can say, with absolute certainty, that Tangled will definitely be crowned a classic.

Tangled tells the classic tale of Rapunzel, the princess with the magic hair who is kidnapped by the evil old lady and raised as her own because she wants to keep the magic of her hair all to herself.

Mandy Moore voices the sweet and endearing Rapunzel and Zachary Levi plays the hilarious leading man, Flynn Ryder. Add in a hilarious loyal horse, a cute chameleon and some very funny supporting thugs and you have the recipe for one great movie.

Tangled was one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I mean, I laughed, I cried, and I rooted for the princess to finally be free. And this was not just one of the best kid’s movies I’ve seen in a long time, but one of the best movies – period. The characters were charming and funny, the dialogue was witty and sweet, the music was engaging and catchy and voice actors were incredible.

I took my whole family to see the movie with the exception of my 6 year old son (he had a birthday party) so that means that myself, my husband, my 8yo daughter, and my 3 and 4 year old sons all went to see it. Each and every one of us loved it – even my husband! In fact, every time we see the commercials now for the movie my kids are still mesmerized! Tonight my 4 year old son Anthony proclaimed it to be the best movie ever and that he wanted to go see it again. In fact, my daughter has already gone with another friend to see it for the second time!

It can cost a lot to go see a movie these days, so it’s important to me that a movie is really worth it if I’m going to spend the money to take my entire family. I can say that Tangled is one of those movies that I would actually pay to go see again, that’s how much I liked it. I felt like a kid again watching it and secretly wished that my daughter was still young enough to be in her Disney Princess phase so that I could go crazy and buy her a Tangled costume to play dress up in.

So if you’re heading to the theatres this weekend go and see Tangled. It’s a fantastic movie that your entire family will enjoy and your kids will still be talking about a week after they’ve seen it. And then let me know if you loved it as much as I did!
