Buff Celebrity Bodies: Manly or Magnificent

Do You Love It Or Hate It?

So about 2 weeks ago I wrote about my celebrity run inspirations and how I was going to try to find different celebrities who inspire me to get my ass on my treadmill at least 4 times a week. My first inspiration was Reese Witherspoon because she’s a mother of 2 and really seems to be a legitimate runner. Reese was an awesome inspiration because she’s fit and healthy really seems to make running her main source of fitness.

Then I came across these pictures on one of the photo agencies last week of Cameron Diaz and my mouth dropped open! I actually called my husband over from the other room to look at these pictures, and I think I began to openly marvel at her arms. I mean – look at her arms!!! While Reese Witherspoon might be a perfect inspiration for me on a typical day, Cameron Diaz is that inspiration for you if you really want to take your fitness up a level!

Holy cow! Look at her arms! I have to tell you, those arms made me want to work out – like right then and there (or course I didn’t, but I really wanted too) And I know that celebrities have all the money in the world and access to great trainers and chefs, but look at her! Most comments I read about the pictures were that she was too big and too manly and that people didn’t like how buff she was, but I have to disagree. I think she looks incredible, and while it might not suit everyone to be that buff, she does serve as great inspiration to get my ass off the couch!

So as I was looking at her pictures – again with my mouth hanging open marvelling at her guns, I saw some pics of other celebrities who have also spent a bit of time at the gym! Who knew that Sarah Jessica Parker was so buff at one point?! Or Kelly Ripa for that matter! I mean I knew Kelly was thin, but she looks fantastic in this picture. And of course we all know Madonna is the queen of buff bodies.

So while I don’t necessarily want arms like Cameron Diaz (a little piece of me sooooo does) I thought I would offer these pics up as inspiration for your daily workout. Because you don’t have to want to look like her to be inspired to get off the couch! Personally, I added 10 minutes to my run yesterday and today because of those damn pictures!
