So by now I’m sure you’ve heard about how 51-year old actor Doug Hutchison – best known for his role in The Green Mile and TV’s LOST – has gone and gotten himself married. To a 16-year old girl. Ew.
Now before you insist this can’t be legal and must be some kind of perverted mistake – understand that it is perfectly legal, and was done with the consent of his new bride’s parents.
OK – so the bride, Courtney Alexis Stodden, might look like she’s easily 28 (seriously – check out her website – how is that 16 OR all natural?), but the fact of the matter is she’s actually 16, and the fact of the matter is that he’s actually 51, and that’s just downright disgusting. I mean, can someone please explain to me what a 51-year old man has in common with a 16-year old girl – other than her double d’s?! Because I get that Courtney is an ‘aspiring singer’ and that *maybe* she thinks that Doug will be her ticket to Hollywood (imagine Ryan Seacrest saying ‘Hollywood’ there) but still – her parents went along with this!
So the kicker is that not only did her parents allow her to get married – they think it’s a good idea! Her mother spoke to RadarOnline and said;
"We are totally supportive of this marriage,"
"Doug is a wonderful man and we love him."
"They are very much in love and we are so supportive of this,"
And then, because that wasn’t enough to make you want to call the authorities and put this woman away forever, she follows it up with this;
"Courtney was a virgin when she married Doug. She is a good Christian girl."
Oy, my head is spinning here. Because even *if* she was a virgin (again - I will point you to her website) – who, in their right mind, wants their 16-year old losing their virginity to a creepy 51-year old dude?!?!
Oh yeah, and Courtney’s new husband – 4 years older THAN HER DAD!!! I threw up in my mouth a little when I read that.
Wanna know my honest thoughts?! Dude thinks he hit the fucking jackpot because he has this hot, young buxom blonde as his wife, and she thinks she hit the jackpot because she just landed herself a sugar daddy who she hopes is going to help make her a star. And mom and dad are so desperate to be the parents of a famous girl that they handed her over to a pervert.
Honestly – I don’t know if I’m more sickened or saddened by this whole thing.
