I don't know about you guys, but I'm super excited about Disney/Pixar's latest—Brave.
Set in the Scottish Highlands and centered around Princess Merida (Kelly Macdonald)—the headstrong daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson)—this is a story about a girl coming to terms with tradition and challenging her fate, while using her skills to save the day (She's an archer! Pretty darn cool, if you ask me).
I am most excited for this, because it seems like in the last few years, we've been seeing more and more strong girls in movies. I love the idea of showing little girls and boys that girls can—and do—rock! Gone are the days of helpless maidens and damsels in distress, a lesson even parents can learn from time to time.
