Wonderful Wiggles New Cast Tour Is Fun, Fun, Fun!

Win Tickets for 4 To Any Upcoming Canadian Wiggles Show!

The-Wiggles-and-Kat-Armstrong

Ok, I'll be totally honest. I was never really a HUGE fan of The Wiggles. At least not the way that Henry seems to be. Then, in the last year, three of the original (classic) Wiggles left the performance aspect and three new Wiggles joined. Emma, Symon, and Lachy join Anthony for a new CD, DVD and tour all called Taking Off with new songs, music and dance for all the wiggly kids who love them. I got a chance to meet the crew, and ask them about the tour, the new members and their Canadian charity — Corus Feeds Kids

It really was a lot of fun to wiggle with The Wiggles, and it certainly has converted me into a wiggly mum. And because they are touring for the next month, I want to give you guys a chance to see them. I'm giving away 3 family of 4 passes to any of the remaining shows on The Wiggles Taking Off tour (don't forget to tell me what city you'd like to attend in!)To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment below and tell me why The Wiggles have signed on with Corus Feeds Kids. Demi Lovato Celebrates In a Different Way

For her 21st, the starlet does things a bit differently

Demi Lovato Celebrates In a Different Way

With all the news of young stars behaving badly these days, it's great when one surprises you with something so kind and caring that you can't help but share. Demi Lovato, former Disney star and X Factor judge celebrates her 21st birthday on August 20th. But instead of a lavish party complete with legal (in the states) drunkenness, the starlet decided to use her stardom to promote something other than herself in her celebrations.

Lovato has spent her birthday this year with close friends and family in Kenya with Canada's Me to We/Free the Children to build a new school on behalf of the group. Of the trip, she said, "I knew traveling with Me to We and volunteering with Free The Children would give me the opportunity to have a life-changing experience I would never forget, with the people closest to me. Also having worked with the organization over this past year it’s been great to see first-hand the wonderful work that is being done as a result of all the incredible efforts of young people around the nation.”

What a breath of fresh air!

So often, we report on youth doing wild things, breaking the law, being under the influence. It's really great to see a young Hollywood celebrity do something other than that and work towards actually making a difference. Being a role model for youth should be about charity, kindness and gratitude. Not just cute clothes and celebrity.

Me to We hosts life changing trips for youth all year round and is a wonderful opportunity for teens to give back and learn about the world around them. Having a celebrity like Lovato take part in one such trip can help drive more youth to get involved in their communities or with bigger organizations like Free the Children.

I would love it if one of my boys came to me in a few years asking to volunteer on one of these trips instead of going to camp. What about you?

Katie Couric Called Out

Kim K is at it again

Katie Couric Called Out

Katie-Couric

I seem to talk about Kim Kardashian an awful lot. But to be fair, I find her whole shtick super interesting. Love her or hate her, this latest piece of gossip seems to be tables turning.

Katie Couric recently gave an interview to In Touch where, when asked about Kim K & crew, she replied, "I don't understand. Why are they so famous? I think it's mostly teenaged girls who are interested." Well, Kim didn't take kindly to that comment, or what followed; a gift for baby North with a note that offered congratulations and a hope that they continue the K naming traditions of the Kardashian family. Seems a little two-faced, no? Kim clearly didn't like it and took a photo of the gift and note and posted it on Instagram with the hashtags #IHateFakeMediaFriends #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotTalkShitThenSendGifts.

I'd be pissed too, to be quite honest. Katie then backtracked on the comment by giving a statement to E! saying, "I've met Kim before and she is a really sweet person. I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascination with her family. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings. The gift was genuine, and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye."

Nice sentiment, but I feel like maybe Katie got caught out and is backtracking like mad.

So, spill it! What do you think of Katie's initial remark and then her backtracking comments?
