June seems to have been the month of babies here at YMC (and in my life — my baby brother and his wife just had their first baby, too!). Although my birth story wasn't so harrowing (did you see the craziness Sarah Remmer was dealing with while giving birth to her daughter?), it was definitely something.
But let me back it up a bit and talk about how we got here and really announce the baby's arrival in style.
Way back in April, at the spring Baby Time show, Erica introduced me to Cooper and Alison of The Little Picture. They are a newer company who does a bit more than just your average run-of-the-mill maternity photos. The Little Picture takes your family, and creates a lovely introduction video, does photo shoots and the like, but it's a really modern take on something that can be very outdated.
Matt and I never even considered doing maternity photos because we rarely have seen anything we really liked. Until we met these guys. They really took time to meet with our family, learn about us and take wonderful photos of all of us. Like these:
While the photos are beautiful, and very much slice-of-life, they don't even come close to the video that The Little Picture produced to introduce everyone to Lauchie.
