Heya. So, Matt, Henry and I went to glorious, do-nothing Fort Erie this weekend where we slept until 8:30 EVERY day (M's parents took care of Henry every morning), spent an entire afternoon in the pool and generally lazed about. But, just because there was a civic holiday in Ontario (Simcoe Day!) and a bunch of awesome ladies were in NYC for Blogher12, that didn't mean that the gossip wheels stopped turning. From Sharon Osbourne to Macaulay Culkin and a surpise celebrity wedding, the second-to-last long weekend of the summer was a busy one.
Sharon Osbourne up and quit America's Got Talent at the end of this season. And surprisingly, Howard Stern isn't to blame. The New York Post is reporting that Sharon has quit because she's mad at NBC for breaking a verbal contract with her son Jack who was all set to be on their new show Stars Earn Stripes shortly after he was diagnosed with MS. Sharon claims this is discriminatory, and argues that Jack was really looking forward to being on the show. While I don't think Sharon's claim is wrong, I do think she needs to relax a bit and understand that NBC was probably spooked about insurance around a reality star contestant newly diagnosed with an illness and the producers having no idea what stage Jack would be in when filming was to begin. The show starts next Monday, so they must have been filming for a while, as well—which leads me to belive that Sharon may really be lying just to get out of AGT.
Macaulay Culkin appears to be not doing so well these days...at least according to The National Enquirer. They claim that Mac is addicted to herion and/or Oxycodone. He looks like crap for sure, though he could just be an unhealthy single dude. Since breaking up with Mila Kunis a few years ago and, as far as I know, not really speaking to his family, he probably just doesn't take very good care of himself. There are reports that he attended the wedding of Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied this past weekend in California, so I'm not entirely sure how true the NE story is, but ugh he looks bad.
Speaking of Natalie and Ben the first wedding photo surfaced earlier today (brides are always so gorgeous).
And finally, I saw a sneak peak at some of the guest stars that will be on Sesame Street this season. Everyone from Mya Rudolph to Wendy Williams to Jack Black. Here are a few of the cutest photos I saw from the new season:
I love that they really make sure that us parents get a kick out of Sesame Street, too!
