Where many US chains will still woo families by offering free meals for kids, the offer has become more and more scarce in Canada. About a decade ago dozens of family restaurants were offering Kids Eat Free deals across the Canadian restaurant landscape. Today it's the exception and while most chains offer kid's menus with appropriate pricing, gratis meals have all but disappeared.

That being said, some restaurants—maybe not the fine dining kind—are holding fast to the promotion that still wins over many a penny-pinching parent. Sometimes it's offered on conventionally slower days of the week, or on birthdays only, but if you search hard enough you can still find some free Canadian kids meals.
We've taken the difficult part out for you and have compiled the current 'Kids Eat Free' deals we've found from Canadian coast-to-coast:
Kids 12 and under eat for free on Sundays. Kids ten and under pay by their height on Tuesday nights. While technically not 'free'... kids pay a cent for every centimetre. Join the Kids' Birthday Club and kids under twelve eat free on their birthday.
