Weekly Dinner Must-Have: Kid-Friendly Baked Ziti Recipe

A quick and budget-friendly meal that will be a big hit with your whole family

Baked Ziti

With a mom and dad who can both cook up a pretty mean dinner my kids get pretty spoiled at dinner time. Dinners are varied and we'll cook just about anything the kids can think up for dinner ideas on any given week. There's one recipe though that has stood the test of time and still shows up at our dinner table each and every week. Saucy, cheesy, easy-to-make baked ziti is always a winner. Give it a try and pretty soon it will be added in to your rotation family dinner rotation too!

Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 pound ziti pasta
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided into 1 cup and 1/2 cup
Salt & pepper, to taste
1 1/2 tablespoons grated Parmesan

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Cook the pasta al dente according to package directions, and drain. Do not overcook!

Mix sauce and ricotta cheese in a large bowl. Add ziti and larger portion of the mozzarella cheese. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Toss to mix well.

Pour into lightly greased 9×13 baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

Bake until thoroughly heated and lightly browned on top, about 40 minutes.
