This Is Why Pinterest And Christmas Are Best Friends

As perfect together as cocoa and candy canes

The thing about best friends is that sometimes you can’t imagine life without your best friend, and other times you wish they’d never shown up. Best friends build you up, bring you down, make you feel awesome and give you a shot of reality.

That’s kind of why Pinterest and Christmas go so well together.

Every day my social media feeds are filled with photos and videos of Christmas perfection. Food, decorating and crafts that would make Martha proud.

And then there are people like me, with photos of something entirely different.

Case in point:

Believe me when I tell you that this does not look like the photo I found on Pinterest. Not even close.

However, I am happy to have given so many of my Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter followers a good laugh. You’re welcome.

Fast-forward a few hours the same day, and I decided to give Pinterest a chance to redeem itself.

As soon as I saw a pin titled “Christmas Tree Pull-Apart,” I knew it had to be mine.

So I put it together for dinner, and just to be safe, I threw some mozza sticks and delicious spuds in the oven as well.

JUBILATION!

This was obviously a keeper.

Martha’s sitting in her Pinterest browsing chair, jealous of my success, I’m sure.

So Pinterest, you are back in the good books again. I’m sure the #Pintervention is just around the corner for me. Maybe in 2014.

In the meantime, before I get put into Pinterest-rehab, take a look at YMC’s Christmas Pinterest board for more holiday recipes, crafts and decorating ideas.
