I know it is still cold outside but I was reminded this week that spring is just around the corner. I lost my gloves the other night and decided to go and buy a new pair yesterday – well wouldn't you know it, I went to six stores and none of them had any gloves in stock. Even with the -20 degree weather everything in stock was linen, shorts, light weight suits – a sure sign spring is really here.
With that thought in mind I remembered I wrote an article a few months ago about the new Spring 2011 make up trends.
The article came out today in City Style and Living Magazine.
Here are the top three trends for Spring 2011 make up:
1. Eyes are bold – colour outside the normal confines of the eye shape. Use both matte and metallic shades. A warm shade for the contour, a bold colour for the highlight and a metallic for reflective eyeliner.
2. Pink lips – from soft muted hues to bright fuchsia pink is the colour for lipstick this season. Use a coordinating lipliner to keep the edges smooth.
3. Matching – lips, nails, purses, shoes – the look seen on all the runways was very matching. The same shade for all the accessories!
