So over the weekend I received a message on Facebook from a friend and former co-worker of mine....
It went a little something like this...
"Hey Connie
I so have a new Yummy Mummy column for you and an opportunity for you to come back to your roots as a rock chick!
I have a friend that is a single mom of three and she's training for MMA.
She takes an hour or so a day and trains - it's her alone time her way to digest everything. She just signed a contract to fight (as in boxing) in December. When I asked her what song she was going into the ring with she said 'Nickelback'.
I had her pull the car over and I threw up a little.
Now there has gotta be better songs for her to run into a ring and kick some ass...otherwise I will have lost faith in all that is good and holy and will resign to the fact that Justin Beiber will in fact be our overlord one day.
She asked me to come up with 10 kick ass songs... so can yeah can you come up with the list?

Well we all know I love a project...especially a musical one at that.
The ultimate song in my book would be Eminem's 'Lose Yourself'....the build up in that song plus the lyrics......screams fighter going into the ring for the win.
But since the request was for songs on the 'rock' and 'alt rock' slant....
And for the record, I must confess that there is one Nickelback song that would totally work...'Burn It To The Ground'....but since the request was to come up with 10 kick ass 'Nickelback-free' songs I shall comply.
So here's my list....I went beyond the classic played out and over done tracks....cause that would have been too easy....the aim here was to go for somewhat original...and as in your face as we could get.
