I've written about James Struthers before—he's that super talented Canadian singer/songwriter from Winnipeg who just happened to write a song about me.
Now with that bragging right out the way (for the second time around)...James is back with a Christmas album called 'This Christmas,' and if you love contemporary Christmas music this new release will be a welcomed addition to your holiday playlist.
Last year he released his version of 'Blue Christmas' and Canadian AC radio picked up the track for the holiday season. And if you're thinking the Elvis version—think again. James, as with all the covers he does, makes it uniquely his own.
The album came out a few weeks ago and is currently available on iTunes. Needless to say I am a fan not and just because of that whole song about me thing.
Sometimes you come across an artist that resonates with you and you can't explain why, but in this case one listen to his voice and you know that singing is what he was meant to do.
Go buy his new album...in the end it's all about supporting Canadian independent music.
