Several times a year, I cross the border to stock up on shirts, dresses, pants, jeans, shoes, skirts and more from some stores that haven't quite made the leap up into Canada.
Slowly, slowly retailers are clueing in to the fact that we Canadians are consumers and have brought the likes of J.Crew and anthropologie and Target. And I don't know if you all have heard the news, but this November our lovely country will be gaining one of my favorite clothing staple stores—LOFT. I am over-the-moon about this development, and the news must have spread that I am a huge fan, because I have been invited to become a Canadian LOFTgirl.
Among my responsibilities will be to tell you about when and where the new LOFT stores will be opening, and, well, to keep you up to date on fashion and trends. You are starting to see how this job is absoutely perfect for me, right? And I take it very seriously. So, the first order of business is fall clothing. I know that it's still a little warm outside, but the calendar tells me that fall is upon us, which means sweaters and tights and boots and deeper colors and thicker fabrics. In short, it's one of my favorite times of the year for fashion.
