If you're allergic to dust mites, you know how frustrating they are to deal with. They're everywhere, and they feed on our own dead skin and pet dander. How totally disgusting is that? But did you know that allergies to dust mites are actually to dust mite poop? Ewwww!

To combat dust mites and their waste, you should wash and dry household bedding on high heat once a week and dust surfaces with a damp cloth frequently. If you have carpets, be sure that you're vacuuming with a HEPA filter vacuum, too.

And here's a great way to combat these little bugs with one easy, DIY solution! This spray is safe to use around pets and kids, but not to ingest, so keep it out of their reach. It kills dust mites instantly, meaning you're able to stay one step ahead of them.

Dust Mite Spray

In a spray bottle, combine the following:

1 cup rubbing alcohol
10-15 drops of pure eucalyptus essential oil
10-15 drops of pure tea tree oil

You can spray this directly on bedding, carpets, stuffed toys and more!

And not only does it zap those dust mites, it also smells divine.
