WATCH: Bridget Jones is Back - and She's Pregnant

bridget jones's baby preview

Can you believe it's been over a decade since the last instalment of Bridget Jones. Well, our favourite bumbling British singleton is back on the big screen - and she's having a baby.

Judging by the trailer that previewed on Ellen, Bridget (aka Renée Zellweger) is up to the usual shenanigans. She finally has her career in order, she's still single and loving life. However, all hell breaks loose once she pees on the stick.

She's preggers and - Bridget being Bridget - she isn't entirely 100 per cent certain about the daddy's identity.

In the case of Bridget's love life, paternity confusion is an enviable problem to have, given possible fathers are Marc Darcy (Colin Firth) and new love interest, Jack Qwant (Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey).

I can already imagine the divisiveness among the adoring female legions, the likes we haven't seen since Twilight's Edward versus Jacob. Who will win - Team Darcy and Team Qwant?

From start to finish, pregnancy can be such a messy and undignified ordeal. There is no one I'd rather see it happen to than a character like Bridget Jones, who is a total boss when it comes to goofball comedy.

“Everything is completely under control… sort of.”

Mark your calendars. Bridget Jones’s Baby is out on Sept. 16, 2016.

In the meantime, check out the trailer and refresh your memory about why you fell in love with Bridget all those years ago.

Bridget Jones is back! Watch the international trailer now, and see #BridgetJonesBaby in theaters this September.

Elite Runner Gets Candid About Post-Pregnancy Body

"They just did a number on my body"

Elite Runner Gets Candid About Post-Pregnancy Body

Stephanie Rothstein Bruce

If you thought getting your body back after baby was tough, spare a thought for Stephanie Rothstein Bruce. The 32-year-old professional runner from Arizona is training for the next Olympics. And the struggle is real.

Bruce has been openly discussing her rocky road back to shape on social media, complete with talk of abdominal separation in a blog post entitled, "My abs are separated, contemplating divorce."

Growing babies can be a brutal process on the body, particularly for pro female athletes. It's a fact that is rarely discussed since people assume elite athletes are "superhuman." But Bruce is refreshingly honest when she admits, "I still pee my pants once a month!"

"As a professional runner, not a lot of women take time off in their careers to have a baby, because there's a lot of fear about getting back to your pre-baby self," said Bruce. "A lot of us have sponsors. We don't have maternity leave. We won't necessarily be getting paid while we're pregnant."

Bruce stopped competing in 2014 to start a family. Now she is gearing up for the 2016 games. But the process has not been easy.

"They just did a number on my body," Bruce said of her two children. "As someone who runs for a living, not a lot of women like me had shared this stuff. I got back to training and still had a lot of incontinence and problems, and I was like, does this happen to other women? So I just put it out there - and it does!"

It's no surprise that Bruce has a loyal 23K Instagram following cheering her on. Whether you're a bootcamp babe or just a channel surfer, it's impossible not to get behind a woman so determined and authentic.

"Whether you're 105 pounds or 200 pounds, I encourage women to not be afraid of flaunting whatever body you have," Bruce said.

Amen.

Strangers Show up to Welcome Newborn Baby

Grandma got Thumb-tied

Strangers Show up to Welcome Newborn Baby

Strangers Show up to Welcome Newborn Baby

A newbie granny in Georgia, giddy with the news that her daughter-in-law was about to give birth, sent out a mass text announcing the happy news:

"We are at the hospital today. Having a baby today! She has dilated between 5-6."

Trouble is, Teresa Lashley got her numbers mixed up and messaged some random strangers in Florida:

A bemused Dennis Williams texted back: “Congrats lol but I think someone got the wrong number.”

But Lashley was too happy about the impending birth to notice or care that her text had gone to an unknown person - not to mention that some poor soul out there never got the missive.

Lo and behold, she went ahead and texted a picture of the bouncing baby boy to Williams.

What happened next is a testament to the weird and wonderful powers of social media.

Dennis and his brother Deorick figured that as they were included in the announcements, they might as well show up at the hospital to meet the new addition - and his family.

And they did just that, bearing presents. Fortunately the new grandma took the humongous gaffe in her stride.

“What a blessing these two guys were to our family. They were so sweet and kind to do this,” Lashley later posted on Facebook.

If nothing else, this commemorative photo of the Williams brothers by the new mom's bedside will make for a good family lore.

You never what kind of crazy will come from an innocent slip of the thumbs.
