This Instagram Beauty Hack for Acne is Smelly Pantry Staple

A surprising pimple fighter that works wonders - and tastes great with pasta?

This Instagram Beauty Hack for Acne is Smelly Pantry Staple

So you've got a big presentation or a special date ahead of you, and you wake up with a big fat whitehead in the middle of your face. Of course. Because our bodies always pick the absolute worst times to betray us.

Beauty fads come and go, some kookier than others. Some of the best don't require you to buy expensive creams, but to simply reach deep into your pantry.

This latest craze may not be new, yet it's seeing a resurgence thanks to beauty blogger Farah D, who posted a how-to on Instagram. Warning, though, Farah's hack is not for those with a strong gag reflex, as it involves rubbing raw garlic on your face.

GET RID OF PIMPLES OVER NIGHT!  GARLIC will flatten your pimple and get rid of it overnight, if not instantly! Take a clove of garlic and make some cuts in it to extract some garlic juice RUB the garlic on any pimples that you may have If you have a whitehead like me - itll be gone INSTANTLY and wont come back If you have a larger pimple beneath the surface, rub the garlic on it and leave it on over night. Youll wake up with it GONE! Try this out.. it REALLY works to flatten the pimple and make sure it doesn't come back! #hudabeauty #wakeupandmakeup #vegas_nay #diy #makegirlz #byefeliciapimple *disclaimer - if you have sensitive skin, do a test patch first. If it starts to string or you feel discomfort rinse off immediately*

Not only is garlic the star of your spaghetti sauce, it could also double as a miracle zit cream.

And as a bonus: it will keep the vampires away (and your significant other... and all your colleagues for that matter.) Oh well, that's the price you pay for a clear complexion. And at least it does not involve being stung by bees.

Alternatively, you could just realize that you're human - ergo spots happen - don your best f*ck it bun, and get on with your merry day.

Many moons ago, when I cared more, I would ritualistically douse my hair in mayonnaise and wrap it in a plastic bag for 20 minutes. It made for a nourishing conditioner. Nice!

If you've tried the garlic zit zapper, please let us know if it worked for you, as well as any other, less malodorous beauty hacks you swear by.
