If you panic when your kids go out and 'forget' to call you, fret not. This app is for you. 'Ignore No More' was created by Texan mom, Sharon Standifird, who discovered a surefire way to get her teen to call home—lock his phone.
According to an article in Buzzfeed, 'Ignore' is currently on Androids on Google Play for just $1.99, and will soon be available on iPhones, too.
By simply tapping their child's name on the app, a concerned parent can—as if by black magic—lock their kid's smartphone until a certain preassigned number(s) is called or texted.
“It takes away texting, it takes away the gaming, it takes away calling their friends,” said Standifird. “The child will always be able to call 911.”
Standifird spent months consulting with the app's developers. It seems even her son, Bradley, is a fan. “Well, I thought it was a good idea,” he said, “but for other people, not me.”
'Ignore No More' is a pretty cheap price to pay for peace of mind for parents of teens. Or is it a bit too sly and coercive for your tastes?

If you have a teen at home, you know there is no shortage of things to worry about—and this app is one of them.
Yet another heavy-handed incident in South Carolina, where a 22-year-old mom was arrested (yes, arrested) for cussing in front of her kids.
According to an article in WSPA, during a nightly grocery store trip Danielle Wolf was charged with disorderly conduct, defined as uttering "while in a state of anger, in the presence of another, any bawdy, lewd or obscene words or epithets."
The instigator? The children were apparently squishing the bread, causing their mom to drop the F-bomb, yet Wolf claims she was actually chastising her husband for piling frozen pizzas on top of the bread.
A fellow shopper, who overheard the string of expletives, apparently asked Wolf to stop swearing in front of her kids before ratting her out to the authorities, though no one expected what came next.
"I didn't harm nobody. I didn't hurt nobody. The lady said she was having a bad day. So, because you're having a bad day you're going to ruin somebody's life," said Wolf.
Wolf is slated to appear in court on 12 September.
A happy moment for an Ontario mom has exploded on social media. Ever since Corey Wadden could remember his mom has raved about a particular car: the 1973 Saab 99.
According to the 25-year-old Waterloo man, his mom Joanie used to clean houses for a living. One of her employers owned the Saab 99, and after driving it she fell in love.
"Every time she would see an older Saab, she would just lose it," said Wadden in an article on CBC.
