These DIY Bra Hacks May Change Your Life

(Or at least Hide those pesky straps)

These DIY Bra Hacks May Change Your Life

Bra Hacks You Won't Believe | YummyMummyClub.ca

Not all boobs are created equal, and neither are all bras. There are so many configurations of tops out there, but precious few bra options guaranteed to comfortably and adequately harness your girls.

Enter some very savvy YouTubers with the hacks you need to hide those pesky bra straps, whether you're daring to wear a top that is backless or strapless.

With a few small tweaks, you can shape-shift and re-engineer a perfectly good bra to get the job done and save you the expense of buying five different types of bras.

Because let's face it, a good over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder is both pricey and hard to come by. It's the sartorial holy grail - almost as rare as the perfect fitting jeans.

All of us are truly after is that one good bra that will mould our breasts so miraculously that we forget we're even wearing one. Hey, a girl can dream...

I'm particularly keen to try out the racerback option this summer.

And I'm no seamstress, but even I am capable of tweaking a bra so I can invest in one of those cute, airy backless tops for the humid summer days ahead.

To be clear, some of these options are best suited to small-chested women. If that's not you, then you may wish to proceed straight to this hilarious post about "big girl problems."

And though I am modestly endowed in the chest department, I'm just big enough - and *ahem* old enough - that forgoing the bra altogether isn't an option. A girl still needs some shape/support.

If you do try some of these hacks, let me know how it works for you in the comments. Got a hack of your own? By all means, share that, too. We ladies need all the support we can get.

Lena Dunham Opens Up About Endometriosis

The sickest girl becomes the bravest

Lena Dunham Opens Up About Endometriosis

Lena Dunham opens up about endometriosis | YummyMummyClub.ca

Lena Dunham is taking about herself again, yet this time we should all listen. This isn't navel gazing, but talking about a chronic health condition that affects Dunham's life and that of millions of women.

The 29-year-old Girls star told her fans via a Facebook post that she would be taking a career break prior to the sixth season of her show while she deals with endometriosis.

Hey Beloved Pals,I just wanted to let you know that, while I am so excited for Girls to return on Feb 21, I won't be...

Posted by Lena Dunham on Monday, February 8, 2016

The condition affects as many as one in 10 women, yet it is rarely talked about. So kudos to Dunham for opening up about her struggle with the illness in a blog called "The Sickest Girl."

"Endometriosis is not life-threatening," she wrote. "I know I'm lucky in the grand health scheme, but I also know that I am one of many women who grasp for a sense of consistent well-being, fight against the betrayals of their bodies, and who are often met with skepticism by doctors trained to view painful periods as the lot of women who should learn to grin and bear it."

She describes in her trademark raw detail the chronic fatigue, the severe cramping from the moment she got her period, and her shame and determination to hide her pain.

And the relief, when she finally had a name to pin on the source of that pain, to her ultimate surgery.

"Long-term chronic infection. I carried the words around with me like an award statuette, flashing them at every friend who had ever complained about my phantom illness and general inability to party like a rock star. I apologized for all the weddings and birthdays I had missed, but it wasn't really an apology: it was a battle cry. I no longer felt like a weakling. I felt like a survivor."

Even better than being a survivor is being a survivor who goes on to share her story with others so they don't have to suffer in silence as she has. Thanks Lena.

WATCH: Mom Wrangles Four Little Monkeys into Jammies

And you thought your bedtime ritual was tiring...

Mom wrangles four babies at bedtime | YummyMummyClub.ca

If you thought your child's bedtime routine was exhausting, spare a thought for this mom of four little monkeys, who don't make getting ready for bed an easy job for their ma.

Corrie Whyte, Cambridge, Ont., is more min-wrestler than mom. Every evening after bathtime, she gets in the ring with her eight month-old triplets and her two year-old daughter. No sooner has she snapped one tot into a onesie, than another has crawled away from her clutches.

The couple's viral Facebook video is hilarious to watch, and it will make many a parent count their lucky stars they have only one or two tots to prep for bed each night.

If cats are hard to herd, then babies are master wrigglers and escape artists.

What I love best about this video is the way it is sped up and set to cutesy music, in the vein of a Chaplin movie. Can you relate?

The Whytes were taken by surprise by the naturally conceived triplets. They blog about their adventures at “The Baby Gang.”

“Right now the hard part is finding the balance between the needs of three eight-month-old babies and one two-year-old toddler,” said Whyte. “They all want your attention, while going in four different directions.”

As some have remarked, it's hard not to watch the footage and feel exhausted yourself. But 26 year-old Whyte takes the nightly ritual in her stride, claiming there's nothing special about what she does.

All moms, she says, are "super moms." We agree. However, some are more dextrous and nimble-handed than others.
