We are celebrating Easter this year with The Gunn clan which includes seven children. I thought it would be fun to come up with a quick and cute DIY project to make each child’s place setting special, so I created these Easter inspired paper napkin rings:
It is a super easy project and Michael’s has everything you need.
Materials:
- cute stickers {these ones I used are Martha Stewart}
- scrapbook paper {the thickest you can find}
- scissors {or a paper cutter}, glue and tape
How To:
- cut a square of paper slightly larger than the sticker in a co-ordinating solid colour
- cut a square of patterned paper slightly larger than the solid square
- use the solid paper to create the band that will wrap around the napkin. It should be narrower than the squares and about 6 to 7 inches long.
- glue the squares together and then tape the bottom square to the band. Tape the band around the napkin.
TIP: I use a paper cutter for all of my straight cuts. It makes paper crafts SO much easier.
You can use these in other ways too. I wrapped mine around these jars for a sweet Easter floral display:
I can’t wait to surprise The Gunn clan kids with these napkin rings. Although I may be slightly more excited about them than they will be. Six out of seven of them are boys. Anyway....Happy Easter!

This last royal wedding inspired piece is my favourite. It reminds me a lot of a map of London that I have framed in my family room.

I love using pattern in my home but I must admit I tend to be drawn towards simple repeated designs. One of my favourites is quatrefoil; this simple clover-like pattern is so pretty and can be seen in architectural details, decor and more.
