"Wow," said the lady behind me at the grocery store. "You must really like bananas."

I smiled and said, "I guess I do!" as I piled six bunches on the checkout counter.

Oh, bananas. I do love them. They are the overachievers of the fruit world. They are delicious for just straight up eating, smoothie making, and, when they are past their prime, they are perfect for baking. Chock full of potassium, fibre, and antioxidants, they are nutritional powerhouses in a hilariously slippery peel. We should all be so versatile and wonderful as those crazy yellow fruits. Plus, there is no word in the English language as fun to say as banana. Ba-NA-na.

Clearly, I'm bananas for bananas.

This recipe will make you bananas as well - it's easy, healthy, and fun to make. My kids gobble these up as fast as I can make them, which is pretty fast. Give them a try - they are delicious!

Ingredients

1 bunch of bananas (5-7 bananas)
Sprinkles, shredded coconut, chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Slice bananas into 1/2 inch coins and arrange in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets. Place in the freezer.

When bananas are frozen, remove from freezer. Dip each piece into Homemade Chocolate Magic Shell and place back on the baking sheet.

If desired, roll bananas in sprinkles, coconut, or chopped nuts after dipping into Homemade Chocolate Magic Shell.

Place baking sheets back in the freezer for ten minutes.
