Sex and the City TV Comeback?

Sarah Jessica Parker To Produce Possible Series

Sex and the City TV Comeback?

Carrie Bradshaw and Co. may make a comeback. The hit TV series, Sex and the City (SATC), which focused on the lives of four successful single women in New York City, ended in 2004 after six seasons.

The popular franchise led to dedicated sightseeing tours in NYC and even branched off into film. Though the first instalment of SATC did well at the box office, the second flopped with both audiences and critics alike.

According to the Mail on Sunday, the creator of the hit series, Darren Star "will have the overall say, but everyone is agreed a TV show is the direction they want to take the franchise in."

This time around, lead actress in the original series, Sarah Jessica Parker would be at the helm, producing. It seems the entire cast is on board to see SATC back in its rightful place -- on television.

It's unclear what the focus of the new show would be, now that the cast has largely settled down. Marriage and Kids in the City? Somehow I can't see Carrie changing a diaper or Samantha deviating from her cougar typecast... Would you like to see the fab foursome reunited once again?

Using Volleyball's Best Assets As Ad Space

Using Volleyball's Best Assets As Ad Space

British beach volleyball stars, Zara Dampney, 24, and Shauna Mullin, 26, have literally sold their asses to corporate sponsors by allowing them to advertise on the back of the duo's bikini bottoms.

This novel form of advertising made its debut in the pre-Olympics test matches held in London recently.

Apparently when fans take a picture and enter on the sponsor's website the Quick Response (QR) code printed on the stars' behinds, they can score a deal.

"As far as we're aware this is the first time QR codes have been used in in-play sports advertising," the sponsor told the Daily Telegraph, "and what better way to test its effectiveness than by putting them on one of the places that is likely to get photographed the most."

Has the advertising world sunk to a new low? Should some parts of the body remain sacred from branding, or is everywhere fair play in professional athletics?
