Have you indulged in one too many BeaverTails during your Winterlude visit? Join representatives of Ottawa Race Weekend for this free and fun scenic 2K walk/run or 5K run. Little ones and beginners will enjoy the 2K route while experienced runners will want to explore a scenic 5K loop. A beautiful and invigorating way to take in the sights of Ottawa!
Location: Meet in and return to the lobby of the Ottawa Marriott, 100 Kent Street. Dress in layers appropriate to the weather (a windproof outer layer is especially useful, as is a toque and scarf). Please bring water to stay hydrated.

Be a Master of Disguise at the Diefenbunker Museum

Find out what it takes to become a spy disguise master! Adults and children are invited to try out different types of disguises and create their spy identities, and will leave with their very own photo postcard for their spy portfolios. Children should be ages 6 and up.

Secret Codes and Snow Cones at the Diefenbunker Museum

Try your hand at secret codes, and use your mystery solving skills to uncover the identity of Agent X! Visitors are offered a mini guided tour as they search the bunker for clues and learn to code and decode messages. A snow cone snack will follow. Children should be ages 6 and up.

FREE Haunted Walk

Ottawa Jail Hostel (75 Nicholas Street)
You and your family can take this one hour spooky visit through the Old Carleton County Jail. Visit death row and the gallows inside the jail while your tour guide recounts some of the city’s supernatural encounters.
The lights are low and the atmosphere is just right for a good ghost story. The tour guides wear cloaks and carry a lantern as they lead their group from one haunted spot to the next. Note that some locations on this tour may be frightening to young children. As well, this tour includes stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.
