About my kids:
Mother to one goofy girl. Penelope was the best "oh *&#!" moment we ever had.
She's lovable, social, full of giggles and eager to have lengthy conversations. They mostly consist of the words "grrrr urgh" "mine", "no", and "mama".
I used to say, when she learns to sleep she'll be the best baby ever. Now I say, when she learns to stop biting she'll be the best toddler ever.
Parenting is...:
delicious.
fierce.
rewarding.
brutal.
beauty.
We know you don't have a lot, but when you do, what do you like to do in your spare time?:
I'm into homeopathy and alternative healing, meditation and shamanism. I paint, make jewellery, do yoga and bellydance. I'm also convinced a member of my family descended from mermaids and passed a weird "swim gene" onto me. I can't stay out of the water (and I love my aquafit - laugh away!)
I’d rather read a book than watch TV, I enjoy a dirty martini, whisky and licorice root tea, but not together. I go camping at every opportunity I get. I’m passionate about the environment (I run Earth Hour here in Kingston) and I enjoy words... especially when they are on a Scrabble board. My favorite? Exquisite.
When are you at your yummiest?:
After a long yoga session, a swim, or walk in the woods.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what would be the title?:
What's currently in your purse?:
Kindle, calendula cream, day planner, knit bunny, pen, diaper, lipgloss, wipes, half an avocado, wallet, a wooden block, phone, keys, teething crackers.
Okay, you found me out. My purse is a diaper bag. Sad but true.
What superhero power would you like to have?:
the ability to function and stay patient on 3 hours sleep
If we gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?:
I'm more a fan of having it right there in the room, and talking about it
