Jen is a multi-tasking mom who likes to keep things under control…well as much as she possibly can when balancing motherhood, marriage, work, friendships... life basically.

We can all relate to being overwhelmed by too much to do and oh so little time. Controlling the insanity and simplifying the day-to-day helps Jen find more time. Time for her family, time for herself, and time to devise ways to keep her active little boy happy and out of trouble.

About my kids:
I have one very energetic, very enthusiastic, very active little boy. He just goes, goes, goes, from the moment he wakes up until his little head hits the pillow at night. He’s super chatty and is usually the life of the party. He has been fascinated with vehicles since he was an infant - his first word was “bus” and now, at almost 5, he can identify the make and model of pretty much every car and truck driving down the street. The annual trip to the AutoShow is this kid’s second Christmas!
Parenting is...:
…an ongoing and ever-changing challenge. Just when I think he is going to zig, he zags! Then he zogs! But I’ve never done anything more rewarding.
We know you don't have a lot, but when you do, what do you like to do in your spare time?:
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my fam. With an energetic kid, we are always planning excursions around the city. I always have home improvement/décor projects on the go – to make it look better and be more organized. And I have to admit… I love unwinding by watching TV.
When are you at your yummiest?:
When I’m actually successfully pulling off multi-tasking. Like making dinner for my family, while finishing up a work email, while listening to CBC Radio 2 Drive and drinking a glass of wine. Taking care of a little bit of something for everyone!
If someone wrote a biography about you, what would be the title?:
What? Somebody is writing a book about me?
What's currently in your purse?:
My wallet; a spare house key; a re-usable bag; a re-usable coffee cup sleeve; my sunglasses; some wet naps and bandaids; travel sized sunscreen, lotion and hand sanitizer; lip gloss and balm; concealer; gum; 2 pens; 2 Hot Wheels (a Porsche 911 and an El Camino, baby!)
What superhero power would you like to have?:
I’d love to be able to stretch like Elastigirl – the mom from The Incredibles. That way I’d be able reach out and grab the Kid whenever he takes off running (which he does in most wide open spaces). I’m tired of shouting after him!
If we gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?:
Hmm… This is a tough one so I asked the Kid where he would hide an elephant. His answer? “Why in the dark, of course.” Love it!
