Gwen Leron

Author Profile:

After working for many years as a successful tech writer, Gwen decided to leave that world behind to become a stay-at-home mom to her two children. Soon after, she started paying more attention to what was in the products she brought into her home each week and realized that it was not all good. She stepped into action and educated herself on exactly what is safe, and what is not. Once she decided on the products she liked, she soon learned that it was no easy task to find these things in one convenient place so this was when her third baby, her store, Nayla Natural Care was born. After all, she couldn’t be the only parent out there who had this problem, right?

In addition to running her store, Gwen also uses her educational background in Journalism and Computer Programming in her other business where she works as a writer and web-editor/content manager, (Gwen is YMC’s web-editor!). She also writes the eco-blog, 50 Shades of Green, right here on YMC. She’s busy, right? But guess what? She loves every single thing she has her hands in and wouldn’t trade what she does for anything.
About my kids:
I have 2 amazing and gorgeous little girls who teach me so much about life, the world and myself each and every day.
Parenting is...:
A constant learning process. I make mistakes all the time, but I am learning as I go.
We know you don't have a lot, but when you do, what do you like to do in your spare time?:
I am slightly addicted to the Food Network, most HBO series and some time wasting, turn my brain to mush reality shows (which shall remain nameless!). I can't do without my laptop and my iPhone. I also love family time, reading, traveling, and listening to music. And eating cake.
When are you at your yummiest?:
In the summer or pretty much any warm day. I don't like the cold, I hate being cold. Nuff said.
If someone wrote a biography about you, what would be the title?:
The Girl Who Believes She Can Do Anything. And Does.
What's currently in your purse?:
My children are young, so I have to carry all the essentials to make sure that if any mishaps happen while we are out, they can be quickly taken care of. I carry snacks, band aids, tissues, toys, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, lotion, crayons, colouring paper, socks...seriously....if you ever run into me while I am out with my kids, ask me to take a peek inside my purse and you will see. Actually, no, please don't. It may scare you.
What superhero power would you like to have?:
The ability to reverse time.
If we gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?:
Probably in that carry all purse of mine.
Do you have a blog or website? :
