My bliss is being little Miss Curious in all things and sharing what I find along the way. Born in Calgary, I made Ontario my home in the 80's and raised my children and now parenting a grandchild. Formerly a publicist, I found myself graduating from York at age 46 with my first degree in Social Cultural Anthropology. Always an artist, photgrapher and writer, I love blending technology and media, both traditional and modern. My themes consistently include social culture, nature, food, genealogy, adoption, costume play, art, books and arts and crafts architecture, construction and design. I own a costume business and write OffthePorch.ca I am also working collaberatively on a fictionalized historical novel. Called Drifting Soil, the novel is a series of short stories about the life, love and losses of flapper girl Jem Valentine.
About my kids:
Our family tree includes adoption and step-parenting with the adult children out and about in the Toronto GTA and, much to our surprise and delight, we are now raising a grandchild.

Parenting is ever ending, even adult children benefit from select parenting.
We know you don't have a lot, but when you do, what do you like to do in your spare time?:
Spending time in dusty online libraries doing family genealogy and historical research; or anything that will get me outside with my camera, but you can also find me in yoga doing the Savasana aka the corpse pose.
When are you at your yummiest?:
I'm at my yummiest when cooking, which usually involves inventing recipes and quaffing a glass of wine or two.

What's currently in your purse?:
I don't have a purse. So I am never without a camera, my debit card is in a case with my iphone. Lipstick I keep in the car.
What superhero power would you like to have?:
If we gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?:
I wouldn't. I'd put a cape on it and it could be my superhero sidekick.
