When I was a new mum it became pretty clear that if I wanted to establish meaningful relationships with other parents I was going to have to be a grown up.
I didn’t think before I spoke. I didn’t take the advice my mom tried to drill into my head and that I try to instill in my children, and it hurt people I love.
