You would think the benefits of owning a maternity store would be short lived but 3 ½ years later, I’m still stealing clothes from the store! I have a closet full of maternity clothes that I love. I’ve also got a few breastfeeding tops thrown in there for good measure. Crazy you ask? Perhaps you just haven’t stopped in at my Bump to see what we’ve got in store for your and your bump!
Obviously I’m biased - but you really shouldn’t if know maternity clothes...easy to put on,no buttons, zippers to fumble with – and the perfect amount of tummy room for large pasta dinners!
As many of us have our wallets on a tight leash, or were strongly encouraged to - fashion perhaps has taken a back seat for many of us. Perhaps expectant mamas even more; forced into the plus size section of the department store, or your husbands closet to make it through the next 9 months. But you really want to feel uncomfortable in your own skin for the next 9 months – that’s a long time not feel good about yourself. You can still look fabulous and feel great with all of your yummy curves – you just need to know the right purchases to get you through your 9 months and beyond.
Can one little black dress really do all that?
The Pouch Dress is a wonderful little invention and is a must in every expectant mama’s closet. This little dress can be worn 5 different ways – even more with a little imagination. Having the versatility of creating many different looks out of one dress is the perfect solution for the busy holiday season. Hey - you were a fashionista before – why sacrifice style just because you are pregnant? It’s time to celebrate your new found curves! Plus this dress looks fabulous on non-expectant mommies too!

It’s become one hot little number this season - and would make for the perfect travelling companion too!

Can you look great breastfeeding?
Yes, you can. Just make sure you have a few good quality breastfeeding tops for the holiday season because you know the relatives are on their way! Sure you had a cute belly bump before, but after baby, perhaps you’re not so confident showing off your muffin top to family and friends. I personally was more worried about someone seeing the mess of my mid-section after giving birth than seeing my boobs.
Most of my wardrobe was off limits while nursing – I’m so small, that many of my button down tops were not use to covering up my C’s – they were use to the barely there A’s – so I was at a loss always trying to figure out how to nurse in this top, or that. Not to mention tunics – ever seen what 3 metres of fabric rolled up under your chin looks like?
Breastfeeding Clothing saved me for baby #3 and now I shout from the roof tops how wonderful it is that nursing moms can look and feel fabulous!
The Peekaboo nursing line from Israel is a new addition to us here at my Bump. The reviews keep coming in – and it’s fabulous. The nursing opening runs straight under the bust and is super discreet. The fabric is super soft and stretchy that it accommodates a growing belly too. So if you are worried about spending too much money on maternity, the Peek-a-boo line will extend the life of your wardrobe that much more! They’ve also included a little duck illustration on the underside of the top layer to amuse a nursing baby and help mom remember which side she last nursed from! And yes it looks great non-pregnant and non-nursing!
Looking fabulous this season has never been so easy. So whether you are an expectant mama or a breastfeeding diva, at my Bump we’ll help you celebrate your new found curves.
