After painting a room and before putting the switch plates back on, take a moment to write on the back of the light switch plate the name of the colour that you used, as well as how much paint you needed to complete the room. In the future, when you go to repaint or touch-up, you'll have all the information you need at your fingertips. As my old boss used to say, "Think smarter, not harder."
