Grocery shopping, making dinner, taking the kids to and from school, dance class, soccer practice, swimming lessons, and most of all, work—it’s no wonder that cleaning my house wasn’t at the top of my priority list. We’re even lucky to get the garbage out on time!
Before I knew it, my house was a mess and I didn’t have time to do anything about it. Every day, I came home hoping I had just a bit of extra time to clean up a bit, but before I could even remember where I last left my vacuum, my kids would rush over and bombard me with everything that they needed me to do. And soon enough, it was time to make dinner, and once the family had a hearty meal, nobody was in the mood to clean—not even me! It was an endless cycle, day after day, and I was losing hope.
Then one day, as I grudgingly went to retrieve my mail, I saw a flyer that changed everything. It was an ad for a cleaning service that used eco-friendly products. The fact that they were eco-friendly was a big deal for me, because my friends were constantly complaining that their cleaning services left strong chemical smells that irritated them and their children, but they had no other choice but to stick with them, because all of their previous experiences had left the same results. So, the minute I found the home phone under a stack of old newspapers, I called the number on the flyer with sheer excitement.
The appointment was booked for the next day, and I must say, when I got home I was astonished; the place had never looked—and smelled—better! Rather than smelling like strong cleaning products and chemically enhanced fragrances, the house had a fresh and clean scent that didn’t hit me in the face when I walked in; it was subtle, yet noticeable. There wasn’t a single surface in the house that was left untouched. Even the wine bottles in the liquor cabinet had been individually dusted off! The kids’ beds were made up and their books were neatly piled and set on their shelves. The house looked fantastic and I still couldn’t believe my eyes! I felt such a sense of relief as I walked around my house, noticing how thorough they were with their cleaning. When my husband and kids walked into the house they were in awe, as well. They couldn’t believe the transformation!
I immediately told all of my friends about it and they were just as pleased as I was, and they still haven’t stopped thanking me for the recommendation! This cleaning service got rid of a cloud that was constantly looming over my head, every time that I saw my house and realized I couldn’t change the state that it was in. A huge portion of my stress had disappeared. Needless to say, I scheduled bi-weekly cleanings and a messy house was never an issue for me again!
