More and more often, produce of various kinds is sold in coloured, plastic, mesh bags. Instead of throwing away the empty bags, I have found a new way to reinvent and reuse them—just remove or cut off any labelling, rinse them off, scrunch them up, and secure them with an elastic band (also reused) to make a very effective, non-scratching, scouring pad for dishes, saucepans, countertops, flooring, etc.
