So, how can I NOT post about this? Since the Laptop Shooting Dad posted this video on Wednesday, the world is going crazy with opinions on whether what he did was over-the-top or right in line for what his daughter did.
Personally, I think showing that kind of thing is a tad violent & I would found a better way to get my point across to my kid. I don't see how firing a gun, actually firing ALL OF THE BULLETS IN YOUR GUN, into anything gets your point across other than to say that violence is a way to teach your kids a lesson.
Insane.

I think it's disgusting what he did. Totally hypocritical and proof that there are parenting issues that contribute to what she did. I'm sorry but a 15 year old might make stupid 15 year old choices; such as venting on facebook in a rage of anger and frustration. She is at a crossroads in her life where she isn;'t a kid, but isn't an adult and it's hard. She obviously doesnt know how to control her anger. But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because he didnt know how to control his either. The daughter hasnt learned a lesson here, this isn't an act of tough love. This is an act of revenge. I am sure he won't have a daughter in his life much longer. The hate she must feel now in not fixable. He has damaged the relationship beyond repair. And unfortunately so many peopel are egging him on online that he probably feels like a superstar and is so high on his ego trip that he won't ever see what his actions have caused. As an adult his actions are far worse than hers. To me her actions are typical teenage behaviour (not all teens, obviously). But there is a deeper story than meets the eye here and his actions are what tell me so.
