My favourite thing about being a Grandparent is when the phone rings and its one of my grandchildren (I have 2) and they say "Bubbie, can you make your famous noodle pudding for me. I love it." That's all it takes - I'm at the grocery store getting the ingredients. Second fav thing is when we end a conversation and they say "Love you Bubbie" and I say "love you too". Nothing better than that!

I decided to assume the nom de plume, "G-Ma" when we received the news that our dear daughter and son in law were expanding their family. It's grandma ish but doesn't deter from the official title that's held by the real deal. Who I like and likes me. :)
My dear man is a fair bit older than I, the family joke is, I could have been the teenage babysitter when his children were small. My own daughter is far too young to even think of popping out kids but via our expanded family, I have the opportunity of spoiling and watching these two lads grow up.
At 1 and 2 yrs of age, it's fun to get down and play at their level. The favourite thing about being a grandparent is experiencing the moment at their level. It's delightful!
How amazing that you get to experience "Grandparenthood" now and in a few years when it is your own kids having the babies! By then you will be a spoiling expert! Enjoy each moment!
