Your Pregnancy Week 14

Dental Sensitivity Issues

by: YMC

Your cupcake-sized (food reference!) baby now has some seriously flexible extremities and is able to complete a bunch of intricate actions. In fact, even though you won't feel it for a while, they are likely hip-hop dancing and doing karate and the backstroke in your belly, right now.

If you and your partner want to know whether you're carrying a male hip hop dancer or a female karate specialist (or the other way around), you can schedule an ultrasound with your health care provider at some point during the next couple of weeks. Results vary but technicians are pretty accurate now with those grainy videos of wee dangly bits - or the lack thereof.

Hormones from pregnancy are hard on your body – particularly on your teeth and gums. Increased sensitivity, bleeding, gingivitis and increased bacteria and plaque are common. These will all pass; just a few more picturesque aspects of the beauty and splendor of pregnancy. Just repeat to yourself, It will all be worth it. It will all be worth it....
