Apple Ham Wedges and Dip Recipe

Sweet Apples, Salty Cheese, and Savoury Ham

Apple Ham Wedges and Dip Recipe

Snacks that are easy to make and gobbled up by the kids are high on anyone's list. These combine sweet apples with salty cheese and a little bit of savoury ham to make a delicious mouthful. Yogurt dip with a bit of mustard adds a nice touch, and let's face it-kids love anything they can dip. For adults, you could add a bit of chopped fresh dill to the dip but leave it out if the kids avoid anything green. I'd set these out for an afternoon snack and just watch them disappear!

Ingredients:

1 apple, cored and cut into 12-16 wedges
16 pieces of cheddar cheese, cut about the same size as the apple wedges
3 -4 thin pieces of deli sliced ham cut lengthwise into 12-16 pieces
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
2 tsp Dijon mustard

Lay a piece of cheese on top of the apple slice and then wrap a slice of ham around the entire thing. Continue with each apple slice.

In a small bowl, stir the yogurt and mustard together until blended. Serve in a small dish to dip the apple slices in.

Makes 12-16 pieces
